VERTILAS has a strong R&D relationship with the Department of Semiconductor Technology at the Walter Schottky Institute of the Technical University of Munich in Garching. The main focus of the partnership is the further development of surface-emitting laser diodes (VCSEL) having a wavelength ranging between 1.3 and 2.3 µm.
